On a positive note, Cheshire East is a great place to live!

Can we not look at doing something similar for other countries? A map showing where BE Expats live would be useful for those thinking of moving overseas.
also for hooking up with Brits in the area you are moving to.

There are a couple of regional ones but they have got a bit lost in the various forums. I took the template for this from Kimilseung's map in the US forum.

I think in the mists of time there was a global map set up by Ray?

I'm happy to liaise if anyone wants to have a go with a new global map.

The Lounge has a global map - seems a good place for the global one.

I know. I just don't understand why more people don't move all around the BE site.

Well I'm sure there must be nice parts somewhere. If she's got a car she can always escape to the Lakes.

I used to go all over the BE site, but I find I just don't have the time these days. I am very interested in sport but don't visit the Locker Room, enjoy a good rant but don't visit Take It Outside any more, etc.

At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old fart, BE used to feel like a little village when I joined 12 years ago and now it seems more like a busy metropolis (other parts; not MBTTUK) so just like I do in real life, I now just stay in my own back yard with occasional visits to the US (forum, and the real country).

Glad to see you on the US forums, appreciate your insights.

Thanks for the comment, Beaverstate.

I have entertained returning to the US several times (the last one just this February, when I turned down a very nice job opportunity). Interestingly, I was listening to NPR last night (WUGA Athens - I'm heading to Athens for a two week visit this Sunday) and it brought back memories. I don't think I'll ever get the US bug out of my system.

Well, yes.

But from this day forth, instead of saying "from Lands End to John O'Groats" we shall say "from Editha to Dunroving"
