Looking at Canada, or elsewhere

I've just realized that a lot of Canada has street views in Googlemaps, and I thought it would be interesting for people to see some views. I never said it couldn't be lovely! In fact I have said we might go back.

Victoria. A nice spot on the sea, but not that far from where we used to live. Probably million dollar homes, though.

Hmm, I can't get that to appear as a simple link. Any suggestions?

Anyone able to find pictures of where they were/are, or are/want to be?

Bev

We might go back?

Perhaps I should have put more modifiers on that! I mean, if we really found things didn't work out here for whatever reason, we would go back without a feeling of tragedy. We still don't think it was quite right for us, and so it's not something we're thinking of now.

Better?

Bev :)

The internet is so useful yet so unhelpful at the same time. Years ago, back in the UK meant back in the UK, with the occasional photo of Can/Aus/NZ posted through the mail from friends. Now we can drive round on Streetview constantly reminded of what it looks like, and that has a weird effect on people. I'm guilty myself, looking at old streets in LA I used to know, etc.

But I think it could be useful for people planning to move anywhere. To get a clearer look at areas, houses, etc.

What's even more wierd is moving here, then looking at your old place on Google earth and seeing your old car in the driveway.
