Hi ,has anyone been able to get the SS payment from a US bank to the UK Bank Changed at their local office ,or do you have to go to the US Embassy in London

We set up our SS payments to our UK bank through the FBU at the London US embassy.

When you say local SS office, do you mean in the USA? If you have not yet completed your move to the UK then I would definitely go to my local office first to try and set it up.

Hi, Thank you I did go yesterday to the local SS office they could not understand how to do the paperwork, called the National number they said to go to London office to change.They changed how to do it in 2025 years ago I just called and the local office and they changed it for me.Someone said to go on SS site and change details on that site not sure about that if its just for US rather then UK.

When I started my SS last year I went online and set up the payment details to pay into my UK bank account so I can confirm that you can do it online. Do you have a SS online account?

Hi, I am in the US right now leave April 28th can you tell me what did they ask for through online SS in US ,I have all my banking details what else do I need.I am not setting up for my SS, I am changing banks from US to my HSBC account in UK Yes I am online with SS site.

I’m on holiday in Scotland at the moment but will log on next week when I am back to see if I can see where to go to change bank account details

If you log in to SS on-line and click My Profile you have an option to Update Banking Details.
You should be able to do it there.

Not if you are in the UK you have to make an appointment to change at the London Embassy
