This is not a 'them' and 'us' issue. As I said in my earlier post. It's not about the content. It's about the participants conduct. The level of moderation in a forum is dictated by the participants of that forum. There are 66 forums on this site, most of them require minimal moderation. This forum seems to generate a disproportional number of reported posts and complaints and I'm not going to stand by and watch it get worse.

This forum is for expats returning to the UK. If you want to discuss life in other countries, you should do so in the appropriate country specific forum. Having said that, there are obviously occasions when it is appropriate to post comparisons to other countries here. However, you should not be surprised when those posts are challenged. Of course, there's no reason why those challenges can't develop into a civil discussion... it works just fine in 60 of the other forums.
