It's all happnin!!
;) Hi all,
Well, since last Sunday's update of the house sale, we have now sold the car and the truck since Friday and are the proud owners (well renters) of a Kia Rio!! Can't fit the 3 wheeler pram in the boot but managed to fit the Mclaren buggy in! Have put the washer, gas fire, loads of size 10 Versace/Moschino etc clothes (that I haven't worn since 1996 but decided to ship anyway in case I suddenly lost 3 stone) on Ebay and am just waiting for some bids! After a lot of thought I realised that I probably won't ever again wear size 10 leather trousers (don't want to look like Sharon Osbourne, even if I was skinny enough, which I most definitely am not!) While I was on there I accidently (yeah right!) bought some Christian Dior sunglasses for $56, oh well, it is my 37th birthday on Friday, thought I deserved a treat. Can't do a lot else until the buyer's finance is approved, but am trying to do things to keep busy and make me feel like I'm in control!!! We'll have to arrange a night out before I go. Jo |

Sounds as though things are really moving along for you...well done. I brought loads of clothes with me in 1996 and haven't worn most of them. I read somewhere if you haven't worn something for more than a year...throw it out. Easier said than done.

Re: It's all happnin!!
We shipped loads of stuff over to Oz, shipped loads back to UK again, only to chuck most of it out when it arrived here last week :o
Most of it hadn't been worn over there either :o :o And yes you have to make room for all the stuff you will get from the shopping trips to Primark, H & M, Tesco and Asda  |
Re: It's all happnin!!
How funny - we must all do that: keep clothes in the vain hope...........
I too gave up and sold all my designer clobber on ebay. Lucky if I buy myself a pair of jeans from Tesco these days, and they certainly aren't a 10 either:rofl: |
Re: It's all happnin!!
LOL you made me chuckle! I'm just about living between 2 pairs of jeans because I've turned into such a blob I don't fit in anything else, honestly it's disgusting:rofl:
I'm just going to trash most of my clothes, they were pants anyway and like you I'll never be fitting in anything in the closet again. I'd so like to be a size 12. I've told my husband I'm visiting a plastic surgeon when I get home to get a tummy tuck and I must get off this computer;) |

I am so pleased for you all that are going back this year, good luck and as everyone has said, dont bother taking clothes back that you haven't worn for ages, its just not worth it, you will go nuts when you see the prices in Primark for a t-shirt!
