International Movers - Boston to UK

Can anyone recommend international moving companies to move us back to the UK from Boston? My husband's employer (US/UK) is paying, so we are looking for good quality, no breakages, experience with shipping wine (!) and reasonable price.

Hi there I can only help by suggesting you completely avoid anglo Pacific, they claim to be the biggest (they probably) are but they completely squashed to a pancake a £2000 MAC Pro desktop computer. The Applestore said they could hardly believe the damage inflicted.

Other movers I am not aware of, but if you have a good experience do share this! :)

Someone in another thread, can't remember who now, recommended this website:

http://www.upakweship.com/index.php

I recommended it to my older sister who unlike me can't just up and go..she has a house to sell and many items to ship

I am going to use them next spring. It costs about $2,000 for a 100 cu crate that you pack at their location and they ship to your address in the UK. You lock the crate and seems all above board for what I've found/investigated. 100 cu is quite a big crate, but then again I am not shipping furniture, just books, PCs etc... I do know they have a movers arm but can't comment on how good they are at that.

Hi - 100 cu? is that 100 CUbic metres? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cubic_metre)

That seems like a helluvah lot - 100 cubic meters is 35500 square feet or hall that is 35 ft long by 32ft wide and three stories high?

Yes that's exactly how big it is...

It's a standard used in US shipping and it boils to 100 cu ft dims 86”x48”x42” high.
