Rules and privileges are not the same for all. During the royal birth there were apparently 23 people involved and they were not allowed to drink alcohol even during their free time 24/7 for an entire 3 months.
So to let in a single person and not make a fuss about it seems pale in comparison.

This Beeb article shines a light on these questions - no fast track to citizenship and Ms Markle will be converting to CoE before the ceremony, although it describes her as a 'Protestant' - apparently that Catholic upbringing didn't stick - which I would suggest is a polite way of saying 'nominal'.

Even the BBC story has an error - the LIUK test is required for ILR, unless things have changed since I had to take it. The certificate is also submitted with the citizenship application.

Prince Harry's communication's secretary, Jason Knauf, said Ms Markle would be "compliant with immigration requirements at all times".

LOL - I am sure she will comply, but still wonder if she has already spent more than 6 months in the UK out of the last 12....but who's counting? Not like the EO at Heathrow is likely to question her about her intentions.
