Hiya

Stamp duty, (unless the area is exempt) which is 1% of the property and solictors costs which should be under £1000, can't think of anything else.

Its a dam site more to buy and sell

Hi just to add........if the house you want to buy has a HIPS report you wont have to pay your solicitor for searches, because they are already done......And their are rumours that they could squash the stamp duty, in october. But this is only going to be a temporary squash on stamp duty.

Hi Sans

Hows it all going back in Blighty? Have you found a place to rent or buy. Let me know if you are happy to be back. Tony and I are still thinking hard about coming back.
Take care
Vicky
