Holiday visa for Indian wife visiting UK?

Holiday visa for Indian wife visiting UK?
Hello Guys,
Apologies if this is not the appropriate board for this question.
I'm an UK Citizen and my wife is a Indian Citizen and we live in the US, due to my working there.
We are thinking about going to the UK to visit my parents. We will be flying into the UK and out together.
Does anyone have any suggestions on which visa to apply for? There seems to be a whole bunch of different classes. Asking the local consulate didn't give me anything more than "the information is on the website". Even the general visitors visa has a whole bunch of classes, such as family, tourist, EEC, etc.
