Can anyone recommend a shipper to take stuff from NZ back to UK??

We used Pickfords to get here and have had them in to quote, we have 59 cubic metres (40ft container) and they priced it at approx $20,000!!!

Anyone any ideas?

Have told hubby its crazy spending that much and we should reduce own to 28 cubic mtrs (20ft container) but he isn't convinced! What to do?????

It's appalling isn't it it people just don't appreciate how much it costs to get home, we just couldn't afford it so we deicded to go to Australia instead and earn enough to get set up again.

Have you considered getting rid of most things and buying them again in the UK? Just a thought..

Have you got other quotes?
We got at least 3 quotes and then played them off against each other...they are all so desperate for the business you'll be amazed at the difference.
We are being packed up by Pickfords as we speak, they were pretty flexible on price in the end.
Makes a big difference dropping to a 20ft, we're leaving the car in order to do this.

We used Crown relocations - but whoever you choose drive them down with alternative quote from another company and also refer to what you paid when you went out. We paid $11,300 plus insurance for 40fter just last year.
