http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/spl/h...ml/region9.stm However, you'll need to familiarise yourself with the other top seven places/areas which are all prime London commuter country apart from Oxford which is prime in itself and London commuter. This should help you to "get the picture" and also indicates that London is only 56 minutes away: http://www.englishlanguagehomestays....ge-Centre.html See South-West: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/spl/h...ml/region8.stm See North-West: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/spl/h...ml/region2.stm |

But where I lived, in a little village about 1/2 way between Brighton and Horsham, was cheaper, but still beautiful, surrounded by fields and woods with a good pub in easy walking distance, and the coast a short drive away and Horsham had a good rail connection to London. And Gatwick was easy to get to for holiday. So it is worth checking outside of places like Brighton and another thing to remember is parking can be a nightmare in Brighton, although the park and ride is good (well was when I lived in Sussex). Some people I know who live and work in brighton didn't even bother to have a car!!!! |
