A 3 bed semi?

Really, that is absolutely BRILLIANT!

Can you bring through customs fresh bread, pastries and cream?
M&S jams.
200 bacon sandwiches for the flight back?

Do you mean Christmas crackers? If so, you can bring those on a plane. If you remove the snap, then you can...

Teabags? Crisps? Green and Black chocolate? Terry chocolate orange?

I don't know about you but I'm fond of the British culture of charity Christmas cards and I always pick up quite a number of packets of those when I'm in the UK in and around Christmas. Just don't buy any that are not rectangular (you'll pay a surcharge for odd shapes). I think those kind of cards are both good for the charities and gives your non-British recipients something to think about.

Just keep in mind when you pack for your flight back to the UK, you can only bring one item of hand luggage on the plane, regardless of what your airline says!!!

The charity card idea is a good one....I wish I had thought of that....

I have been trawling the shops here and they don't have any, shame....

I emailed our local Humane Society and asked if they sold any, they told me "No", but thanks for asking!"

You'll love the design of a Christmas card I bought in 2005. It's from the NSPCC and the card is a 2D teapot, with a cut-out handle!

I've bought UNICEF cards from stores locally in the past. Generally speaking, charity Christmas cards are still a bit of novelty in the US.

Why go all the way to England ?
You can get all that stuff at any 'Fresh Farms' store ... there are a few in South Carlolina and other places.

How did you know the contents of my husband's Christmas stocking???

I actually bought everything you mentioned this past weekend at our local World Market Store. The only thing they don't have that he absolutely loves is Winegums. Otherwise, all is available right down the road from us.

Great minds...

And you are right about the winegums. Always have to bring those for # 2 son.

Oh........ and all the football magazines for # 3 son. And Private Eye and a bunch of daily newspapers for everyone.
