Foreign pension payments from Canada
Newb post (smile wave) Looking at potentially retiring to UK from Canada. Dual Citizenship UK / Canada. Searched every thread, most are closed now. I have a pension scheme in Canada - rrsp / rrif (this will mean something to a Canuck or former) Looking for verifiable info from someone who has gone before and can report how their periodic pension payment is taxed in UK- in 2017. Also looking for a reco on a UK tax accountant that deals with Canada UK tax presently.
Thank you
Vince

Re: Foreign pension payments from Canada
Welcome to BE Vinny17. I moved back to the UK from Canada several years ago. I am not yet drawing down on my RRSP, but as far as tax and RRSP advice I have been using KIERAN LYNCH FCA, FCCA, CTA. CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT AND CHARTERED TAX ADVISER, Alsager Cheshire. He is based in the U.K., but has worked in Canada and has been very helpful in advising us on our tax affairs on both sides of the pond. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend him. Good luck.

if1: Thanks very much for the recommendation for a tax expert. I will need to spend the $ and get his opinion. Would welcome others comments who have gone before. Cheers
