soup can't be that bad? :D

Anyway, I had a thread on MD, not Baltimore, but not far from it which had some good info. - http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=555304

Hunt Valley area, but anyway, bit scarier now for me since one of the big employers got dropped from publisher to "go indie" on sale, but bump will be more likely, so that hub is shrinking, shame.

Np- it was VERY good, but I love She Crab Soup, found in Charleston, Savannah etc. Kinda like good Hot and Sour soup- you just can't make it the same at home.:(

Re: First job interview next week

Well I didn't take the first job because there was significant travel involved.

But I interviewed for another one this week, got it, and agreed terms today.

Not very good money, but benefits and a company vehicle and laptop, so it will do for now. Who knows, with pay raises it could turn out to be great.

Start Monday!

In these times getting anything half way decent is an achievement. Glad to hear the good news.

Congrats!

I'm on the dregs of the unemployment extension and have been told to apply to any work not even in my field that's above minimum wage...

Awesome that, considering I'd spend at the very least twice minimum wage to cover childcare...

Hmmm....

I think Bob would make either a good personal shopper or a rental husband/assistant or something like that. Although he sure does seem to be able to whip up something good out of nothing in the food department, :)
