Exchanging AUD to GBP

Does anyone know how you can sell AUD to GBP at a higher rate around 0.45-0.46 than the current 0.40? Does this need to done through broker? If so, is it possible? Or is there a way of finding private individuals looking for better exchange on AUD/GBP? What are the risks involved?

wish there was as rate going down radidly if only we went six months ago!. We sent some money through HIFX about six weeks ago and got a better rate than the banks offered but still was close the actual exchange rate
