Hello. When I sell my house in Toronto should I open a HSBC account and put the money in pounds or leave it in Canadian? Thanks

I have an account with HSBC and have both Cad and Pounds. The exchange rate seems to be trading between a narrow range at the moment between $1.70 and $1.74. We have just sold our property in Victoria and watching the market closely. I feel if the UK comes out of lockdown and gets back to some sort of economic normality before Canada this could change dramatically. Finger crossed it doesn't.

One suggestion has been to split the proceeds 50/50 between pounds and CAN dollars. Yes things could change over the next year. Also finding property to buy is looking like Canada now.
