Hi KK, good to see you back here even though it has been a tough few months for you - I wondered what you were doing these days!
I think the relief of having made the decsion to move is such a boost that your mental health improves out of sight - you have probably been somewhat depressed (and who wouldnt?!) not just a stubborn old g*t. Now you have decided to make a move, the depression has lifted and you can look at things with dispassionate eyes. Sort of shaking the shackles really.
So sorry to hear that your lad has been doing it tough after your ex left - would he be going back for a bit of an adventure with you? Maybe he just needs his brother to show him the highlights of Europe to get him back on track!

Now how can you possibly know that? Would the whole world be better of in OZ? That's obviously untrue. Are you saying every single person would be better off living anywhere but the UK? Lots and lots of people who are happy in the UK would disagree there.
Sounds to me as if the OP would be foolish not to come back at this point. He clearly needs it for psychological reasons if no other, and he'll be able to reconnect with his older son.
We've been back nearly a week and we're still in holiday mode, but I've seen nothing to make me doubt our decision.

Unless you can back that up with sound logical reasons that take king kongs individual circumstances and feelings into account, then I don't think that's a very helpful thing to say at all.
If you can't say something helpful, perhaps it would be better not to say anything at all in this section of the forum.

Unless you end up living next door to him I don't really see why that has to do with it. Not moving back home just because someone else doesn't agree with what they assume your political views to be? Sounds a bit off the wall to me!
