We have got a gas fire, it's a pretty good one too. Only one slight problem: the size of our main family room is 50ft x 40ft (inc the kitchen) and we have raking ceilings. Therefore, turn fire on...heat just rises up into the ceiling! Cold sat down below

Think we'll raise the floor level or buy some hammocks!!!

enormous? ....ridiculous I'd say!!! We never venture down the other end of the room! Nice table and chairs there though.....never use 'em...look nice though!!!

We looked at loads of massive houses when we bought our dilapidated old place. They just didn't feel homey (is that a word!) Ours is small, old, in need of ripping apart but feels much more like an English house.

Been using our gas blower and must say best thing we ever bought!!! Cant believe your leccie and gas bills ours arnt that bad!!1 I pay about $120 a month leccie and about the same gas and Im $146 in credit on the gas bill!!

Lauras room is like a bloody caravan tho!! (mind you she aint there much)

Mine will probaby be higher coz ive been lazy and using the tumble dryer this week
