Economical shipping, for parcels to the UK ?

What are economical ways of shipping small boxes ( 12 x 12 x 12) from California to the UK ? I don`t mind how long it takes and they will contain photographs and clothing items. I welcome and thank you for you for your input.

When our daughter has shipped small packages to us she has used UPS, which is almost certainly not the cheapest, but she doesn’t send us stuff very often.

To my knowledge, there aren't any. It's just expensive. Some are more expensive than others, but it's all expensive. Pound for pound, it's probably easier to take things with you as extra baggage when you fly. You can get a lot in one suitcase.

If you need to ship for business purposes, you're out of luck I think. It's USPS, or one of the package companies. I've always found USPS to be the cheapest, but not cheap by any means.
