Driver Licenses
 
Need some help, moving back to the UK, my daughter have Canadian G2 driving licenses, can she change it to a UK licenses?

Isn't this license a learners licence (or some sort of novice status)

I don’t have a definitive answer but I’m guessing she won’t be able to exchange a probationary Ontario licence for a full GB licence. Even if she could she would be limited to automatic cars. If she won’t have her full G licence before you move then it may be best for her to take her UK driving test.

Confirming this answer, if required. My daughter moved back in 2017 having had a full G licence for three or four years. Even with that, I think she would have been limited to automatics. She had a few lessons first, to ‘adapt’ her driving skills and then took her test successfully. Fortunately she’d leaned to drive on a manual/ stick shift here in Canada so it was a relatively easy transition.
