Some great windy days over the last few years which is great if you like sailboarding and flying kites.
Also noticed that the sun seems to shine alot more than when I was here a decade ago....so it ain't all bad weather wise folks

Last year had it's moments and was still quite warm, the year before was a cracker and seemed to go on for about 8 months anyway all that rain makes it such a green and pleasent land.

I was surprised how mild it was in the UK over Xmas. Just a fleece hoodie most days (which was shame cos I took my flash cashmere coat )

Not that wet? It rained just about every day. Out town flooded and people's chairs were floating down the road.

Flash floods yes, the rain came in very torrentional short blasts. but if you look overall the 2007 summer was not that wet, especially in the Midlands

You must live in a totally different britain to my family because they said it was the worst year for weather they can remember. My Dads golf (also plays a few times a week) was cancelled on numerous occasions as the course was closed due to waterlogging.

You reminded me of a lovely day out with my 6yr old niece back in September. I took her kite flying with her dad. Was a lovely day. I had never done it before.
As fpr the seasonal weather, i love it, and juat because one area has a bad bout doesnt mean ALL of UK gets it. Thats the beauty of UK. 4 seasons in one day sometimes..lol
Give me the changeability over monotonous sweaty heat any day.
