Do you post more to this site when feeling low?

Hello All,

I know there are a lot of regulars on this site and some not so regular, like me and some newbies.

A general question to which I think that I know the answer too, is do you post more often to this site when you're feeling low?

Question arises from my own posting activity which seems to peak when I'm feeling low. This week I've posted a lot more than usual!

I think I needed a "dont know" option;)

I really enjoy the banter on here (apart from the occasional troll) but probably do post a bit more when I am down because it is good to chat to people who know what is going on for me.

Well, as someone who has spent far too much time on this site over the last 4 years (4 frigging years:eek:) I do post regulalry and I s'pose more often when I'm brassed off. I also read a lot more when I'm brassed off, trying to gain some comfort I reckon, that I'm not the only one, that I am not completely mental in wanting to go home!

I voted no, mainly because BE is always on in the background no matter what time of the day or night or my frame of mind. My work is very muched based around my computer and seeing as i am working very long hours (including weekends!!) I tend to flick into here when i need a break from what i am doing.

Saying that, most regulars here will know what frame of mind i am in dependant on my posts!
I love it as it is a way of offloading my stress. I admit i even find it quite funny when people get cross with my rants :D All part of the therapy you know

Oooooooh, I just voted and it is 50 -50 at this moment.

I voted NO. I like to come on here and read all the different posts, and different opinions. It really helps me sort through conflicting feelings.

I find myself agreeing/disagreeing with people, but take away some valuable information from each post I read. I especially like it when there is a really funny thread going ~ it makes my day when I can pee myself laughing at someone else's posts:thumbsup::wub:

I tend to lurk more at times.

My life tends to go in cycles where I'm very busy training and racing IronMan triathlons, then in down periods between training schedules I tend to post more (like now). A new schedules starts next Tuesday for a race in Sept so I'll be busy again. But I never ignore BE all together:)

But when I'm feeling low I definitely post more. I think I tend to feel lowest when I'm not training as I have more time to think.

Pretty low at the moment as I've agreed to stay until my wife's degree is finished, which won't be until end of 09. But at least then we can go to the UK with no 'hang ups'. :)

Morning all!! I voted 'no' 'cos like flea a lot of my work centres round my PC so I flick onto BE when I'm bored with what I'm doing on the computer.

I think this forum is fab - some lovely people, a bit of banter and occasionally hopefully I can offer some advice and support having been through the whole migration thing and back again.

P.S sorry to hear you are feeling low Dave, hope you are feeling better soon

I feel certainly more comfortable on this side of the forum but thats only because of my views on australia .
I do in some masochistic way have a little chuckle to my self when i see some of the reasons for wanting to leave the uk ,it will ensure the MBTTUK side will have more people in it in the future .
May the day come quickly that we all go home .:)

I post on here because I like it. I can't believe it took me 6 years to find this forum. But I find it interesting to read about peoples' experiences, good and bad and offer moral support, if it's needed. It has been a real eye-opener for me, especially reading about the experiences of people living 'Down Under', I had sometimes toyed with the idea of emigrating to Oz or new Zealand if things didn't work out here in the US, but my suspicions about Australia, in particular, have been confirmed!
Main thing, though, is that this forum has such a diverse and interesting bunch of members, and I'm learning a lot.
