DO we even need a CO-sponsor?
My fiancee (US) is still in college and we would like to get married and
then apply through DCF for a visa, the problem is sponsorship. She technicly
still lives with her parents (eventhough she has a dormroom where she spents
most of the time). The problem is that she does not make 125% of poverty, he
parents do though. DO we need to let them fill out a co-sponsor ship form or
can we just use their income as household income for my fiancee (on her
affadivit of support)?
Regards,
Roy

DCF or not, you still have to meet the sponsor requirements, or get a
cosponsor.

You will need a sponsor even though you are doing DCF. Her parents would be ideal if they are willing. I too am in the process of DCF and have had to get sponsorship from my father-in-law even though I will technically have a job on arrival.

Yes, they would be co-sponsors and have to fill out the I-864A which is
their declaration that your sponsor (your fiancee) can use their income as
part of the total household income on her I-864. What you would not need is
a joint sponsor who is someone who fills out an I-864.

Re: DO we even need a CO-sponsor?
I know we need a co-sponsor, but the issue is can my fiancee use their
income as being (part of the household) or do they need to be totally
different co-sponsors.

Not unless she has a W2 to show that she is employed by her parents. There has to be a paper trail to show the source of HER income.
