Date of Planned Arrival in UK
Applying for a spouse visa for my wife.
Let us say that we put down a date six months ahead from date of application, for example we apply today and put down 1st December 2018 for date of planned arrival. Some questions:
1). If the visa is issued before that date, presumably the earliest it will require my wife to travel will be at or later than 1/12/18? That is, my wife will not be required to travel before 1/12/18?
2). If the visa is issued on 1/12/18, presumably my wife has 30 days to enter UK, that is till 31/12/18?
3). If the visa is issued say on 15/12/18, presumably my wife will have 30 days from 15/12/18 to enter UK, that is, 14/1/19?
Many thanks.

Re: Date of Planned Arrival in UK
You have it right. The rule is that entry must be within 30 days of your planned date of travel or from the date of issue of the visa whichever is later.
