Real Cultural Differences,
Cutting Edge from UKNova.
Cutting Edge follows three British women who’ve turned their backs on British men, looking for romance as far afield as Uzbekistan, Tanzania and Rimini. But what happens once the excitement begins to fade and those quirky cultural differences start to seem more marked?
Gemma, 26, is adapting to life in rural Tanzania, having married Masai warrior Lesikar. The couple met while Gemma was on a gap-year break from Oxford University and, despite neither knowing the other's language, fell in love. But against the genteel backdrop of Gemma’s Middle England Hampshire village, Lesikar drops a bombshell: under Masai law, he’s entitled to take more than one wife...
Meanwhile, Countess Alexandra Tolstoy, 30, fell for Shamil, a Russian-speaking horse guide whose upbringing in Uzbekistan couldn't have been more different from her pampered childhood in the family's Cotswold home. But how will Alexandra cope with her new pad: a one-bedroom flat in Tashkent?
Finally there’s Patricia from Belfast who fell for Tiziano from Rimini, northern Italy. After a true whirlwind romance, the couple were wed - but their cultural differences quickly become evident. Though the birth of a son brought the couple together, now Patricia and Tiziano face an acrimonious end to their affair.

They all have the makings for a Farside cartoon.
- Are we to text or phone in and vote for our favorite couple or something?
Who'se going to be the first to split?
...Biggest slapperette?
