Shall we go the airport and hijack someones suitcase and be stowaways?!! Knowing my luck I'd end up in Afghanistan!!!

Oh lets!!!!!!

Think I am a bit big for a suitcase now though - think they would notice me if I held my tummy in?!?!?

You forgot the spa 'parties'(huhmm), which I found were just an excuse to see someone else's partner almost naked and, to see how long it took for you to get pissed enough not to notice some dirty sod touching you up under the bubbles.

I think spa's are the most filthy things going. All the pubes, hard skin, bleggers, sweat, klinkers floating in them

The 'No Soul' bit is so accurate. If you take away the big house, the beaches and the weather....what's left underneath it all? Nothing in my opinion. It is a bland, dull place lacking in diversity and character.
Yes we do qualify for the two year rule as we've been here 18 months now, but I have heard it can take up to 6 months to actually get the citizenship. If I had my way I'd be off home now but it's not just about me, I've got the rest of the family to consider. The trouble is, I am picking fault in everything here now, everything irritates me about the place, and I know I shouldn't be like that but I just can't help it. The one thing I am glad about, is that I am 100% sure that I want to go home, I've got no doubts about that whatsoever.

Don't stress Polly, you haven't missed anything. The last time we were invited to one I politely declined, as we think the wife had the hots for me.

I went to an Enjo night once, which ended up in me doing the splitz and being in agony for a week.It was a good night....as far as I can I remember.

Yes it can take a while for the appointment for the interview but you can book in advance, we did. Go online and you will be able to see all the forms etc and you can complete them and you will get an appointment for when you've been here two years. Kath has managed to get a private ceremony too I think. She isn't waiting for the big ceremony which can take months.

Thanks for that Tracey, so are you already citizens ? How far in advance can you book the interview ? The private ceremony thing sounds very good aswell. You've made me feel a lot better now, I've still got a while to go but I'm definitely over half way there, God I'm making it sound like a prison sentence. I'll feel a lot better when the Spring/Summer is here cos at the end of the day thats what we came out here for, the weather and the beaches and being able to get out and about and you just can't do that in the winter.

Yes, we are now officially Dual Nationals!! We booked our ceremony when we'd been here about 21 months I think. And then we had to wait 6 months for the interview. So if I were you I'd book the thing asap as I know there's a long waiting list for appointments.
