Default Container shipping rates are at an all time low

Transoceanic container shipping rates are at an all time low.
The leading industry indicator is the so-called Baltic Dry Index (which long since has had nothing to do with the Baltic Sea, still less the Baltic Fleet (a world famous Liverpool pub)).

Of course there will still be shippers who respond to hard times by trying to make the entire day's profit out of one customer (you). But by shopping around there must be huge bargains to be had for shipping a container load of stuff until the three-quarters empty ships stop sailing entirely.
