Silly, there's nothing to forgive. I know what you mean, though, it'll always seem nicer somewhere else. I do really loathe the weather here though! LOL I hate the extreme cold, and I melt in Summer. Guess I'm just difficult to please. LOL

I'm not sure what the stars are for. Post count, maybe?

Personally I wouldn't, but vehicles with retractable hard-tops have been getting quite popular here. Chevy even brought out some weird-looking pickup truck with a retractable hard-top. I'll just stick with my moon roof.

Yep moon roof is another one that will take some getting to grips with.

Sounds like somewher to stick your bum out of ( which I know in the US means somewhere to eject a street person out of )

All very confusing

Oh yes, I love it - I wear shorts here all the time, but the "natives" wear trousers in Winter... I go in the pool too which my in-laws don't understand
because it's apparently too cold!

Hee! Isn't it just? I have a similar book to this that my mum (sorry, "mom") gave me. I also have a Cockney-English English-Cockney one which I enjoy confusing the Yanks with. LOL I'm evil.

Sounds like when we went to Phoenix in April 2001. We stuck out as the tourists in the low 70s temps as we were the only ones with the top down on our hire car. LOL!! (Mind you, it was snowing at the Canyon!)

It is quite a few degees colder up here, and that is what we did the first few years. After a while our blood must have thinned or something, we feel the cold now. Anything below 65 and sweaters are out - I turn the heat on when it hits below 70

We lived in the Joburg area where the homes are built like yours in the UK, but with NO central heating. It gets colder than a penguin's mammary in winter - now we've become woosies....
