Default Company name changed during GC process

Hello,

If a person's Green Card process is in the labour certification stage
and the name of the company is changed. (It's not a merger or
anything, just changing the name of the company).

In that case will the company have to re-file for green card again and
start the entire process from giving advertisements?

Not usually, although it may be wise to ask an immigration attorney in
case there are some unusual subtleties.

Simply submit evidence of the name change with the next step (usually, the
I-140).

Assuming it is just a name change, it should not be a problem. You
should make sure, however, that your company consults with an
immigration attorney about this change - because usually something
changes besides the name and some changes can result in BIG
immigration problems.
