Re: Commuting to London.

I used to commute from Pewsey, Wiltshire into London. The fast Intercity trains would stop there, so i could be at Paddington in less than an hour. We lived in a 14 house (and a pub) hamlet by the Kennett & Avon canal.

So many interesting options appearing that I hadn't even thought of. Thanks for the input.

Re: Commuting to London.

I always wanted to live in Shoreham/Eynsford area of Kent when I was in the SE but it ain't cheap (reason why !). Shoreham is an hour to Blackfriars/City Thameslink but the lifestyle would be hard to beat.

St Albans is lovely - quick to Kings Cross -
Home town is Lewes, East Sussex - longer commute but just lovely
Also love Tunbridge Wells
All options quite pricey though:D
