Hi i am still looking at ways to make for trip to england cheaper. If anyone knows of any deals for flights, hotels or even attractions that would be great.
I am travelling around the 11th december for 2 weeks from atlanta to heathrow. I am looking at any attraction in london.

In december there's not much.
The science museum is always an amazing place to spend an entire day, it's free and next to the natural history museum which is also free.

If you are looking for a cheap hotel in London look at Easy Hotels, they are very small and basic but they are clean, cheap and well located. We stayed at the one in Earls court, 5 mins walk from the tube and it had a tesco store about 2 mins walk.

Not much? nice thing about London (depending on what your into) there are lots of indoor places.

In Feb we went to London and went to Harrods (free), St Pauls, London Eye, Tower Bridge. All of which I got discounted tickets for. There is also the Tower of London which is mostly indoors.

Changing of the Guards (outdoors but free).

One of the things that I really enjoyed was the Key Ceremony at the Tower of London, it is free but you have to apply in writting for permission to attend. It takes place at night.

Airfares are cheaper midweek than on weekends so try and start on a Tuesday or Wednesday if possible with Christmas on a Saturday this year you should be able to swing it. You dont say if you have young children or not, the younger they are the more you should try for a direct flight rather than have to make connections with all the weeping a gnashing of teeth.
At present midweek (14th-15th Dec) Atlanta to Heathrow is looking at upper $700's to lower $800's per person, departing on weekends 11 is $850 and up or 18 is $950 and up .

There you will find a wealth of information from like minded people.

When I stay in London, I find a hotel out in the suburbs that is close to the tube, buy an oyster card , ( rail pass ) at the airport. The 15 minutes it takes to get into London on the tube is well worth the savings. The hotels are also generally better and cheaper.

Take a look at tripAdvisor , they also have some good reviews for London lodgings.

The only problem with that time is the hotels. There are so many Christmas parties in London during those weeks and many of the folks go ahead and book a hotel room for the night, such that finding a place for two weeks (i.e. over the weekend) can be a bit of a pain. Cabs on Friday and Saturday night during holiday party season can also be a real adventure.

But look for Tuesday/Wed/Sat flights, and don't be afraid to fly on Christmas day for example (when not many are flying). Generally right around Thanksgiving is more of a 'sweet spot' for low fares than the weeks before Christmas, but you can find some bargains if you hunt.

As a general note, you are still 6+ months away, so a real bargain based on load (i.e. not enough passengers/slash fares, etc) is still not going to appear for another few months. Right now you are dealing with rather hard prices based on projections made on last year's data and projected loads rather than actual seats available.

Depending on how much travel you are doing by tube (we did a lot) a zone/day card may be cheaper. Also kids upto 11 are free.

I couldn't have said it better myself, EXCEPT that I try and get Xmas flights booked no later than Sept if possible.

Actually, the Oyster card should always be the best bet.
The oyster rates are always less than the cash rates for the same journey. E.g a return bought cash is more than a return bought Oyster.

Also providing you use the Oyster card correctly it picks the cheapest ticket or combo for your actual days travel.

For under 16s and 11s the rules for cheap\free tickets applies to Oyster as well as tickets.
