Car Insurance - address & licence?
Hello All
So we are on the countdown now only 4 weekends to go!
We will be renting a car and staying in a holiday let for the first 2 weeks while we find a rental property etc.
We will also be looking to buy a car in the first week, do you know know if we will be able to insure it if we don't have a permanent residential address at that point? Can we use the address or the holiday let and let them know once we have moved?
Also I had to surrender my UK licence when we moved the Isle of Man many years ago before coming to Cayman so will be getting that back but again do I actually need to have it in my possession before we take out insurance or just in theory be able to drive legally in the UK which I think (hope) I still am even though I don't have the physical licence?
Thank you

Re: Car Insurance - address & licence?
Hi NiHao, no progress really. I need to call an insurer I expect. I have my Isle of Man photo and paper licences but they have expired. I have my Cayman licence which hopefully will do. If not will rent a car until I get UK licence sorted thnx
