Car Insurance
Hi Folks
We are back in the UK and are trying to sort car insurance as we pick up our new vehicle tomorrow.
Unfortunately, they are not accepting the canadian license while we wait for the british one to be issued.
Can anyone advise which insurer you used, or if there is a way to address this.

Who are “they”? A car insurance comparison website will give you quotes on insurance with a non-UK licence. Be prepared to pay over the odds though. You may find it more economical to purchase temporary insurance while you wait for your UK licences to be issued.

Hi there, pretty much everyone we have connected with.
We did manage to get marshmallow to accept after a search on a car insurance comparison website. Looking into it now

Our son used Aviva who accepted a letter from his US insurance company for no claims. We had a car waiting for him and he drove on his US licence until he passed his test 8 months later. He applied for a provisional UK licence but I don’t think he had to wait until he had it before the insurance started.
