Default Can You Fly Pets to Manchester?

I've been emailing back and forth with a pet moving company and after doing some research, they told me that we'd have to fly our pets to London rather than Manchester.

Does anyone know if this is true? It will make things much more complicated for us if we can't take them to Manchester.

I know pets can fly with Thomas Cook into Manchester because I had a cat sent on that route from Toronto.

Interesting.

I should have said that I would be coming from NYC but I don't know why that would make it impossible to bring pets.

I've emailed the company back to query it further.

Sally, Defra.gov.uk has a list of approved routes and airlines for those routes:

According to this Manchester is a destination from NYC via Delta and from New Jersey via Continental.
