Hi , My daughter lives in Edmond and is from the Bristol area,Chipping Sodbury/Yate.She is a RN in the maternity ward in Deaconess Hospital. She has been in OK for the last twelve years. I had a good friend from the Rhonda Valley who lived in Bethany off of Council Road but have lost contact with him. We stay up at Cedar Valley when we are RVing, will be up there later this year after visiting Kansas, and Branson Missouri.

Re: Brits in Oklahoma
I know there is already a Tulsa thread, but just wondering if anyone else is in Oklahoma.
I'm NW OKC, used to live in Alva though.
You may ask where that is.....its in the middle of nowhere!!!
Originally from Cheltenham....love it here, but I miss my family.
We visit each other as often as we can though which is awesome.
Makes the time that much more special

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I guess we'll just get all this ice and snow out of the way just in time to head for the storm shelters.

Hey Everyone
Just found this site and couldn't believe I found this thread about Brits in Oklahoma! I thought I was the only Brit here LOL, well actually I have my 3 boys here too. I live in Miami, N.E. Oklahoma, part of the four states.
I met my American hubby when he lived in TX, I'm originally from Kent, been in the States for 6 years, Miami for 4 years. I miss my older two boys back home in England and of course my Mum. We get to see each other at least once a year, more if we can. My older two boys are seriously considering coming here, which if it goes ahead will just make my day, week, year Wish I could get my Mum here as well, I speak to her and my boys every weekend, and when my boys tell me they are having a 'ruby murray or a kebab, fish and chips' my mouth just waters. I do miss the different variety of foods you can get in England, although I have found a store in Joplin, MO (only 30 mins away) where I can purchase some British stuff, Heinz baked beans and spagetti, ribena, custard, salad cream, but I must add at a price, suppose though if you miss it and really want it, you pay the price!
Anyway lovely to know there are other Brits here in Oklahoma and not just me Take care

Hello CC
Thanks for the welcome. I've been in Oklahoma for nearly 4 years, the States 6. You're in Stillwater hey about 2 hours or so away from me, the other side of Tulsa. Is there much to do in Stillwater? Not an awful lot to do here in Miami, unless you like to go to the casinos, my hubby and I go once in a blue moon, normally for b'days, anniversary etc, for a meal and a couple of drinks, nearest thing we have to a pub, but I love the laid back way of life here and wouldn't go back to the hustle and bustle of London, been there and done that! Plus getting too old now
