Hello fellow "Southsider".
I'm in Deep Creek.

There are one or two of us around.
Lots of Scots in Va Beach - in case you haven't already noticed.

One in VB.

You don't want to rush up to DC to see Metallica tonight do you? I've got really good tickets going cheap that I can't use.

There is a British grocery (surprisingly called "the British shop") on Witchduck Rd in Va Beach.
They just got a license before Xmas to sell booze.

There is also another grocery in Hampton, near the NASA Air and Space museum. Haven't been to that one in a while - but I do hear its improved a lot since new owners took it over.

There's a decent curry house off Volvo Blvd in Greenbrier called "Spice of India" as well as the 3 or 4 "Nawab's" restaurants North and South of the James.

I can let you know where locally to get things like Jacobs Cream Crackers, Branston, Aero bars, sausage, imported bung and even real English bread and butter.

Just thought I'd say hello. Just got engaged and will be moving to Hampton whenever the ole visa gets approved. Hope I can join your motley crew before the end of the year!

Is there any reason you picked Hampton over the other places in the Tidewater region?

Congrats and best of luck with the move.
