British passport from usa for child

British passport from usa for child
Im british (born & raised)
I just filled out the online application and paid for it already for My two childrens brit passport they are (3 & 1.5 yrs old)
Supporting documents section it says they require both parents passport details and photo copies.
However, i’ve just seen my husbands passport and it has been expired from a long long time. He is pakistani.
Can i take a photocopy of the expired pakistani passport bio page & send along his Valid Us Driving license as ID?
If has his name, date of birth , address, picture on it.
Help would be appreciated.
