Brains Faggots

Does anyone remember them?

I had my OH in stitches this morning telling him how my kids would gag each time i told them we were having brains faggots for tea PMSL :rofl:
He thought it was some strange gay fetish thing:lol:..lmao

No matter how much i explained that Brains was the name of the company and not the contents the kids would not believe me!!
They were cheap, filled them up and a stop gap when we were short of money.

Anyone else remember them?

Any other particularly British weird or funny food stuff that you dont get elsewhere that you know of?

I can't remember who made it but it was a packet chow mein meal with these crispy deep fried noodles. When I was a skint YTS trainee trying to get by on 27 quid a week I would eat them all the time.

angel delight, vesta meals that had crispy noodles with them, tabioca:eek: (don't know how to spell it,:o, I know that is completely wrong) known by us kids as frogs spawn! now thats disgusting:eek::eek::eek:.

Does anyone know if you can still get rhubarb and custard sweets, my fave? and chocolate coated brazil nuts in shiny purple wrappers and the round flat toffee in shiny gold wrappers that always stuck to roof of your mouth, both were 'quality street' if memory serves me correctly...yum:thumbsup:

You can get rhubarb and custard sweets in Perth at the British Lolly Shop - about 8 sweets for $4:eek: so guess they must still be in the UK:)
