So OH has just called. He's sitting on the tarmac at LHR facing a 4 hour delay due to a problem with the plane's parking break :confused:
I suggested they take off (who needs a parking break to fly anyway ??) then when they land at DFW they can just throw a couple of cases under the wheels to stop it from rolling away (most of the cases on the luggage carousel look like that's whats happened to them anyway !!!):rofl:
So obviously the drinks trolley has been around a few times as he was pretty incoherent..:sneaky:suggested he didn't make any conference calls into the office !
So I'm at home wondering how to break the news to #1 son that Dad won't be at his football game tonight (again)...I know there's worse things happening in the world but in my little corner of Texas I'm feeling rather Peed off (hence the rant).

Everytime I fly with BA from LHR I am always stuck on that bloody tarmac!! I think im gonna start connecting in Amsterdam instead of London!

Anyway sorry to hear about the delay, it really is such a pain! Hope your son doesnt take the news too bad.

Totally agree.
I feel really sorry for any parents on there with small kids...imagine being stuck on a plane for 4 1/2 hours before a 10 hr. flight with screaming kids!

yeh..he just flew in from Milan as well...should have made a connection somewhere else in Europe !
Got my OH to text son so I didn't have to deal with the moaning as is usually the case.
Told OH that however bored he gets he's not to break into the chocs or limoncello he's bringing me ;)

From Aberdeen I would higly recommend Amsterdam over LHR, much more civilised and user friendly.

Me too! When we came here to visit it was delayed for technical reasons, this time a family of five decided to get off the plane at Heathrow after they had got on :huh: Took ages to get their luggage off so we were several hours late.

Plus, we flew once with BA and had a wonderful entertainment system where you chould choose what to watch with loads of choice, but they haven't got it on the Houston route, just the old-fashioned 'wait for all the films to finish' system. :frown:
