Default Best way to send $7000 Can from Canada to UK?

Hi

I need to wire my husband approx. $7000 Canadian (4250 pounds to be exact) from Canada to UK asap so that he can pay money down on our new rental.

We have been doing some smaller amounts via Western Union but I am thinking there must be a chaper way.

Ideally though he needs the money tomorrow and he does not yet have his own bank account. (His Mum does have one though.)

Any suggestions/instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Can you set up an Xe.com account and send it to his Mum's account. Not sure if has to be the same name or not.

Does Paypal cost too much for money transfers? I know it works well for buying things but know there is a transfer cost.
Can't he use a bank linked credit card? You could transfer the money (if not in a debit card bank) and then he could simply use his card? Or maybe he does not have one?

Bank SWIFT transfer (negotiate the rate with them) or use a FX house

Paypal FX rate and fees rule it out.

sorry i'm late on this, its very easy, you could have just wired money from your account to his moms, generally costs about $30 per wire and its instant will within 3-4 hours of being sent.

Well if it was the US then you could use Xoom.com - use it all the time, $4.99 to send to the UK and my last transfer money was there in 7 minutes and at near the commercial exchange rate too.
