Re: Back in sad circumstances

I am so sorry! I don't think I can find the words to offer comfort but just know that I am in your corner and sending positive thoughts your way *hugs*

Thanks! My sister died peacefully yesterday evening.I feel relieved that she isnt suffering any more.
My best memory of recent years, Claire and me, on the viewing platform of the Empire State building on her first and only trip to America. She was thrilled to be there, and I was thrilled to have her there.

So sorry to hear your sad news, a release for your sister though.

So sorry to hear your sad news about the loss of your 'little' sister.

I guess you are busy right now planning her funeral with other family members, and perhaps your loss may really sink in afterwards. I hope you take comfort that you were able to be with your sister as the sun was setting on her life, and that she would have been comforted that you were by her side. She will always live on in your heart with your precious memories of the times you spent together.

Sending you a (((((big hug)))))

Words can not express how sad I feel for you - it's tough I know. Just take each day as it comes and treasure the memories you have of your sister - remember she will always be in your heart.

Hello Jemima, I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear sister. How terribly tragic for you. I'm so pleased that you managed to spend some time with her & I'm sure your presence gave her much needed strength & solace. Much love to you & my thoughts are with you & your family.

Re: Back in sad circumstances

This is an update. The funeral and memorial service are arranged but wont be for another week, nothing seems to happen quickly around here!
In the meantime my husband has flown back to the US to try and get on with some work. We left our son behind in the US to look after the house which is on the market.But son suffers from depression and hasnt done well for being left alone.
I am itinerant until our house comes free, so will be calling in favours from all those friendsand rellies who holidayed with us in the last five years.
We may be brave and go and camp in the house before the furniture arrives, borrowing stuff from the neighbours. Anyone else done that? We will probably clean and redecorate.
I would say we have far too much on our plates!
So, I need good wishes for selling the US house, moving son back and poor husband coping with all this and trying to maintain his job at the same time. We truly feel "on the ropes".

Goodness yes, so much on your plates right now. Sending good wishes for strength and resilience, especially during funeral and memorial service time, and lots of support from those friends and relatives during the homeless bit;
quick sale of house, and uplift for son....and indeed all best for the whole kit and caboodle.
