Back in London for 4 weeks now

Back in London for 4 weeks now
Just a very quick update from me. I spend 3.5 years in Oz - lived in Brisbane, Sydney and Cairns (loved both Brissie and Cairns) but struggled with work all the way. I had an interesting job in London and nothing matched up. Conversely I loved the weather/outdoors and lots of other stuff about Oz.
The move was an expensive experience and I am not sure I what I would do differently. However I know that in many ways Oz has become "home".
London - as always is magnificent - shopping amazing (that includes food), public transport totally fantastic - awful weather and seriously expensive. I went straight back to work and love the job and the work culture.
I have not even got in contact with "friends" here yet - been busy with temporary accommodation, buying warm gear and I have been really run off my feet at work. I am also a bit "shelled shocked" but have not had time to analyse exactly what is going on in my head.
My plan if one could call it that would be to stay for 12 months and to have a much more concrete plan about how I would earn a living in Oz if I were to return there.
Best of luck to all those comtemplating a move back. Nothing cast in stone - love Oz but doing inconsistent admin roles was driving me nuts. Here - I HATE the weather. It is much worse than I remember and of course I came back in November which was not manipulatable as I was given a specific date by my employer.
Watch this space but I think we could do with a forum for ping pongers!!!

Up to a point, but MBTTUK is for people who go UK-Foreign-UK. A ping ponger would go UK-Foreign-UK-Foreign(and on and on.) The OP suggests she might go back to oz... However, there are other definitions of Ping Ponger out there on the web.
