When we moved to Oregon (from the Golden State!), my sister and I vetoed the high school my mother was leaning toward because 'We won't be "Beavers"!'
We went to the snotty school that never won anything in sports so we showed her.

I am from Wales, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw the title of this thread. Heart practically in mouth, I hesitated slightly before finally clicking - it being seemingly too good to be true that finally, after 7 years torture as a member of British Expats, the pain had finally paid off having found a thread just for someone like me.

You can imagine the gut-wrenching nausea rising in my stomach when I found that the thread savagely excluded those who didn't live within a stone's throw of Grapeville, Indiana (or wherever). And now, with my heart ripped to shreds and my faith in fellow man cast asunder, I must slope off into the darkest recesses of my tortured soul in a vain attempt to rebuild my shattered excuse for a life.
