7 months isn't long to be in Australia and if it's just work that's an issue, try doing something else just for a while. He'll always have plumbing to fall back on as a trade but for now, maybe there is an opportunity for you to enjoy Australia and do a different kind of work.
Just an idea.
He tried applying for other work but noone interested in someone with experience ONLY in plumbing.
Also, you cannot advertise yourself as a plumber on a provisional license, which is all they will give you for the first 12 months, these have been our problems.......
NO MORE, OH has a job!!
It's plumbing related, and not necessarily top of his list in favourite jobs but it pays well so we just hope it works out as he is on trial....
FINGERS CROSSED! There's hope for everyone, but, this job was not advertised and was very much a right place right time situation, so anyone that's reading this - i would still advise not to leave a good job in the UK and if you do bring enough to live off for a min of 6months
