AirBnB near Heathrow Airport
 

I'm returning to the UK and I'm going to move to the surrey / kent area (although not sure where in that area). I need to contact estate agents, etc - but before that, I think it's going to take a few days to get over the tiredness of the long flight. I was wondering if anyone had an idea on a good location to relax for a few days around 1hr from/to Heathrow? Just looking for some nice countryside place that I can look up in airbnb.

One hour from Heathrow is a huge area, you'll have about 10 counties to choose from at that distance and all have lovely countryside. If you're planning on moving to Surrey or Kent then probably best to rent an Air BnB there, so you can start researching.

Windsor is a nice area near to Heathrow. With your property search as you are looking at two different counties apart from each other, you could start now with some research via these property portals to narrow down your search.

Most BB have 2night stay minimum stay.
Hotel chains like travelodge uk and premier inn com are very low cost in some areas and you can book just one night.

You can also look on the property portals for serviced apartments, short lets ( from a few weeks to six months stay). Finally with such a large search area you may find you benefit from a' buying agent' who will filter out the less good options and track down what you want in your budget, saving you time and money. They will also take you to view the short listed properties by car and negotiate for you. You only pay an agreed percentage of property price after you buy, and a reasonable fee for them to start searching.
