Yes but it's not really indefinate.....since technically you have to renew it every 10 years.
PLUS.............as soon as I get the ILR I'm eligible to become a citizen, but I can't skip the ILR and go straight to citizenship.........that would make too much sense and be cost efficient..........at least from my perspective

I am sure my hubby has to be in britian for 2 out of every 5 years for it to be valid, otherwise you lose it. Check to fine print to be sure tho.
I am re-organizing the condo and i ummmm can't seem to locate some paperwork (Ie his paperwork) at the moment. But we will keep that our secret lol

Just tried to find out online when this might be coming into affect, but couldn't find anything... We are hoping to go back next spring; hopefully it won't be then..

As far as I know they haven't sealed the deal with probationary citizenship just yet.......but I will probably apply for my citizenship early next year after I get my passport back. Right now ILR is taking around 6 months to be processed.

£820 does seem like a lot, especially if you are going to go straight for citizenship, and not use up the 10 years at £82 a year.
We had to pay for UKC for our youngest Dd (adopted) it was about $1000 (US)
Luckily I had just cashed out a mutual fund and it covered it.
