Urgent: Deputy Country Director-Operations
Location: Kabul, Afghanistan
The position of Deputy Country Director is primarily an operations/project management position. The Deputy Country Director will work with the Country Director and senior Management team to ensure smooth operations of our programs. Programs currently operating in Afghanistan include: restoration of grain mills, agrarian technical training, food preservation, irrigation projects, road construction and market access, business training and women empowerment. DCD will regularly travel to project sites to monitor and evaluate programs, interacting with Sector Managers, provide written reports to the Country Director and Headquarters office. DCD will work with Finance, Human Resources and Logistics personnel to ensure proper operational procedures are followed. DCD will act as the Country Director in absence of the Country Director.
