Senior IT Systems Administrator (Abu Dhabi, UAE)
Position: Senior IT Systems Administrator
London consultancy now recruiting for prestigious multimillion projects in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
RESPONSIBILITES:
The administrator will be responsible for installation, configuration and maintenance of a complex distributed application at our client sites. The role involves IT administration, network engineering and application support. The candidate needs a good knowledge of Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Active Directory, server hardening, clustering, firewalls, load balancing, Citrix, Blade Servers, SAN Storage and backups, DB Oracle and OFS (RAC configurations an advantage).
QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 4+ years experience with computers and networking
• Experience managing up to 60 servers (back end)
• Data storage (SAN) and back up
• MCSE 2003, CCNE (preferred) and a college degree preferred
• The ability to write scripts
• Excellent performance tuning and troubleshooting skills
• Networking: TCP/IP, WANS, LAN, DNS, DHCP, VLANS
• sub-netting and implementation abilities
• Unix/Linux knowledge – an advantage
• Extensive VLAN experience
• Cisco Load balance
• Citrix implementation
• Fibre channel switch
• Trunking
• Clusters (quorum disk)
• Setting up complex networks
• Driving license – a must
