Role: Head of Procurement/Group Procurement Manager
Location: Abu Dhabi
Sector: Public –Education
Package is likely to be £75 – 95k per annum + usual benefits and a few perks.

Required an experienced senior Head of procurement / group Procurement manager to take up the newly created role to lead procurement and supply chain operations.

The business is seeking a senior level procurement professional with the divisional leadership experience who will be able lead strategic planning and delivery across the entire business, reporting at board level while also leading in hands on development of the functions viability and spend control throughout the business and taking an independent lead on top tier framework / large scale contracts negotiation and best practice implementation. This is a true opportunity for an experience Head of Procurement / Group procurement manager with experienced to take up the leadership of a direct spend of approximately A.E.D 7bn p/a.

Key role objectives:
• Lead and develop a best practice unified central direct procurement function.
• Develop Procurement Strategy.
• Management and leadership of the procurement team on all aspects of procurement, including:
o Supplier selection, assessment, development and management
o Negotiation on price, delivery and quality Logistics
o Supply chain optimization
o Input and support to procurement transformation project
o Preferred supplier strategy
o Low cost sourcing strategy
o Supply/value stream mapping
o Procurement data/information/systems management
o Implementation of appropriate sourcing strategies to control the company's material spend
o Lead and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of procurement processes
o Resolution of high value/critical supply chain issues
o Effective reporting to the business of procurement activities

Key Candidate Requirements:
• Proven delivery of First class strategic strategy planning
• Proven delivery of procurement transformational change and process improvements ideally within the Education sector
• BA/BSc degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Management or equivalent, CIPS qualified an advantage
• Used to working with and influencing government led organisations
• Strong communicational ability across all levels up to board.
• Ability to personally lead to level contracts negotiation
