Successful International Corporation



London recruitment consultancy now looking for an experienced accountant/book-keeper in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

Our client is a very successful international corporation with offices in USA, Europe and Asia and a strong presence in the UAE. They are involved in varied operations that spread over sectors like technology, construction and IT. They need an experienced accountant to look after the company accounts.

Our client offers a very competitive package for the right candidates.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of VAT, the ability to undertake routine reconciliations and to work on your own initiative are essential. Good knowledge of MS Office especially Excel and Outlook.

The suitable candidate will have good written and verbal English, and international accounting experience in Europe and the Middle East.

Please do not apply if you do not HAVE ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE IN BOTH EUROPE(OR USA) AND THE MIDDLE EAST, and have 2+ years' bookkeeping/accounting experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The preparation of company accounts
• The preparation and submission of Corporation Tax returns
• All correspondence with the Tax authorities
• To provide guidance on financial matters as required by the staff
• Preparing month end financial reports and analysis
• Bank reconciliation for multiple accounts and currencies
• Process payments and receipts (including credit card) on a daily basis and ensuring agreed bank reconciliation
• Preparing VAT returns
• Prepare year end management account for auditor and prepare roll over
• Booking and paying supplier Invoices, employee expense reports
• Maintaining supplier statements and supplier reconciliations
• Monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in the monthly book closing
• Other administrative duties

Our client’s Accountancy Division can currently only consider candidates with relevant accountancy and finance experience who reside in the UAE.
